Education Minister Inaugurated IIT Palakkad Main Campus at Kanjikode; Details Here


Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Minister for Education has established the foundation stone for the main campus of Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad. The 500 acres permanent campus is established adjoining the Nila Campus at Kanjikode.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan congratulated the Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad for proactively supporting education and fulfilling the needs of the region.

IIT Palakkad offers B.Tech, M.Tech, M.S. (Research-based), and PhD programs in several specializations and has made significant progress since its beginning in 2015. 

The Institute has about 640 undergraduate students, 132 doctoral scholars, and 225 postgraduate students. 

IIT Palakkad currently operates from a temporary campus at the Ahalia integrated campus at Kozhippara.
