DU to Conduct March/ April Exams in OBE Mode; May Exams in Offline Mode; Check Details Here


Delhi University Exams 2022: DU has released an official notification stating its plans of conducting its upcoming March/ April exams in Open Book Examination, OBE mode, while the may exams will be held via offline mode. 

According to the DU official notification, the upcoming exams will be held in both Open Book Examination, OBE mode and physical mode, with some conditions in place.

Delhi University Exams 2022 for March/April will be conducted in OBE Mode, which is applicable to students studying in odd semesters across DU affiliated colleges- semesters I, III and V. 

In contrast, the varsity will conduct May exams in offline mode for the students studying in even semesters in various colleges – semester II, IV and VI.

DU has notified everyone that detailed exam-day guidelines to conduct the March/ April/ May Exams 2022, will be released in due course of time. 

Meanwhile, many students and stakeholders sought clarification on the mode of exams as the varsity has planned to resume offline classes from February 17, 2022.

As per the notification on Delhi University Exams 2022, the varsity has directed the students that based on the recommendation of the working group for examinations, the varsity has planned to conduct the exams of March and April 2022 (Odd Semester Examinations I/III/V/VII), via Open Book Examination (OBE) mode. 

Further, all the examinations which shall be held during the month of May 2022 and onwards (Even Semester Examinations IL/TV/VI/VIII) will be conducted in Physical Mode, the notification read.

Since the university has planned to reopen the campus and has released information on holding the Delhi University Exams 2022, students have started looking for accommodations as well. 

While many colleges have reported that hostel allotments might experience some delay this time, many students (if not all – many students think that DU didn’t give enough time to come back) expressed their happiness with the varsity opening its campus for physical classes.

Recently, the Academic council of the University of Delhi approved the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) formed in line with the National Education Policy, which includes 176 credits for a four-year honours degree and 132 credits for a three-year degree.
