DU Receives 12,677 Applications for Centenary Chance Exam; Check Details Here

New Delhi: DU has recently declared that it has received over 12,500 applications for the centennial chance examination. All students who dropped out of their studies in their final year will be able to retake the examinations and finish their degrees with this opportunity.

Drop-out students have been offered this one-time opportunity in light of the DU's year-long centennial celebrations, which began on May 1, 2022. The registration deadline for the exam was June 30.

Of the 9,331 applicants who have completed the applications, 8,095 have made the payments. Eligible applicants will be allowed to take up to four papers in the annual mode and up to eight papers in semester-based assessments.

The centennial chance examination will be held offline in October this year and March next year. According to the university, it will be held for theoretical and practical examinations only, not for internal assessment.

In March, DU Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh stated that all dropped Delhi University students will be given a centennial chance to finish their courses and receive their degrees.

Recently, DU has also announced practical examinations, viva voce, and oral exams of undergraduate courses to be conducted in offline mode by "strictly adhering" to Covid guidelines.
