As per Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, the preparations have been made to ensure that all facilities will be available for the students as soon as the new academic year begins. He informed that the classes for new students for the academic session 2022-23 will start on November 02, 2022.

Referring to the DU UG Admission 2022-23, he added, "we used the CUET 2022 to conduct admissions this year, and we're also putting the National Education Policy into practice. Students would have more freedom under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020".

The university will begin the implementation of NEP and the four-year undergraduate program this academic year. Colleges have preparations to welcome the students, which include carrying out fumigation, establishing anti-ragging committees and other necessary measures to ensure the safety of newcomers.

Manoj Khanna, the Principal of Ramjas College, said that last-minute preparations are being made to welcome the first-year students. The college has a total of 1,550 admission seats. According to Khanna, all of the seats have been filled, and admission for the extra seats is currently taking place.

"The preparations have been made. We are prepared to receive the first group of applicants through the CUET. We are incredibly excited", Manoj Khanna added.

This year, rather than using the grades from Class 12th, DU is accepting students based on their CUET 2022 scores. The university published its admission-cum-allocation policy on CSAS on September 12, 2022.

Three phases make up the DU admission process through the CSAS portal, which are; application submission, program selection and preference entry, and seat selection and admission. As of now, a total of 59,100 applicants received admission in the initial round of seat distribution.

In the first round, 15,398 candidates have frozen their seats. The DU second round of seat allotment has begun. A number of discussions were held at the Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College to ensure the smooth running of the orientation program on November 02, 2022.
