Chhattisgarh Government has at last decided to scrap all the state exams which are basically conducted for admission to professional courses, due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases on a daily basis.
The State government has taken this decision considering the safety of the students.
As per the recent notification, released on 26th July, by the Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, Pre Engineering Test (CGPET), Pre Pharmacy Test (PPHT) and Pre MCA (PMCA) has been cancelled for the session 2020-2021.

New Admission Procedure
In the released notice, the government has also stated the revised admission procedure for the 2020-2021 session.
Revised Admission procedure states that the selection of candidates in B.E/B.Tech courses belonging to Chhattisgarh will be based on the Class 12th marks whereas students from other states will require a valid JEE Mains 2020 scores to get admission in the engineering courses.
Candidates belonging to Chhattisgarh who are looking ahead to pursue MCA courses will be selected on the basis of their BCA marks while students from other states need to have a valid NIMCET score to get selected.
Admission will be held completely in an online mode. Allotment of seats and counselling will also be conducted through online medium. The revised date for online admission will be announced soon in the coming days.
