Dr. B. Anitha is HOD of the Sri Krishnadevaraya Institute of Management. She has 14 years of experience as Professor, 8 years of experience as Associate Professor and 8 years of experience as Assistant Professor. She worked as Additional Warden to womens’ hostel and Acting Trainer to Bank managers, LIC Officers and Teachers 

Furthermore, she has organized 1 International and 3 National Seminars apart from various workshops on Gender Sensitivity, Case Teaching, and Case Writing for students. In the year 2019, she was felicitated with the “Distinguished Woman Award for Research Work in HRM” from Venus International Women Awards Foundation. Currently, she is member of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, National HRD Network, MTC, and Editorial Review Board in Adarsh Business Review.

What is your leadership philosophy? 

“To receive maximum cooperation from teaching and support staff”

Head of Management Institute must deal with all students and faculty for productive results. I believe in maximum cooperation from teaching and support staff. Mine is paternalistic approach to pupils. I believe that campus should be like home for everyone.

The primary role of an educational leader is to focus on allover growth of students. It leads to development and career. The fame of campus relies on success of students in the long run. They are the key to campus.

It is essential to check for value addition in the curriculum. I try to make sure the culture of the campus is being nourished. My priority is to bring basic discipline among students and staff


What is the top priority of Sri Krishnadevaraya Institute of Management for the next decade?

“Prepare students for industry-oriented reasons qualities”

One of my priorities is to expose students to the industry. Though our campus is situated in a backward area, it is connected two major cities through highway. Industry exposure gives confidence and prepares pupils for placements in the industry. The previous alumnus is a high source of placements to institute.

“We hope to see a clear picture in this new year”

We have only one batch after the pandemic on campus. It is very early to comment on the effect of pandemic. There is confusion all over. We hope to see a clear picture from the start of a new year.

“Jobs in marketing, HR areas, and management help students”

Management studies have high job opportunities only after electronics and Information Technology. People's expectations and priorities have changed post Covid. Management curriculum should adopt to changes and focus on new priorities like digital marketing, information technology and virtual management.
