Mr Deepak bansal

Mr. Deepak Bansal is the Director of R.K Films and Media Academy. He is dedicated towards the promotion of career-oriented education for the populace, brings the multifaceted Media & Entertainment industry under one roof. Under his guidance, RKFMA has been launched with a wish of chasing an audacious dream and it promises to achieve the best in its fields in the shortest possible time.

Best but challenging experience in the education industry

It is not the ‘best’ sector to work for but in fact most challenging. The courses offered by films and media institutions like ours do not have a mass audience but some ‘class’ people only join it.Moreover, any changes in the policies made by the MHRD or its subsidiaries affect us too. Being into education, we regularly need to update our curriculum, infrastructures & facilities in tune to the available technologies. This also assists in making a learner more enlightened and employable.

Leadership style

I need to be involved in all stages. This has greatly helped in keeping everyone motivated. A team with like-minded people usually succeed.

Challenges to counter as the Director of R.K Films and Media Academy

As the Director, I am entrusted and expected to take the Academy global level. For this, I require active involvement from our student community which sometimes disappoints me. Students these days are more concerned about jobs even before joining or completing their courses. This should NOT be the attitude. They should focus to enhance their learning curve first. There are work opportunities available in the industry provided a student start exploring them as they come.

An updated curriculum based on requirements of industry

This one of the best part of the Academy. Our curriculum gets updated regularly based on industry requirements without any need of having rounds of governing body or academic councils meeting as in the case of any government-affiliated institutions. There are no such bottlenecks with us in our courses. The trainers/ teachers hired at our Academy teach only what is relevant to the current scenario.

Placement opportunities at R.K Films and Media Academy

There are work opportunities available in the industry provided a student start exploring them as they come. Students are also required to be very much tech-savvy and should know the right use of their mobile devices too. Gone are the days when journalists used to rush to with mid-sized cameras and costly microphones. Today’s world and media are too quick!

Available for the students during working hours

I need to be with them all the time so that I can compare their feedback with what is getting delivered. There is no point hiding from them in a ‘palatial room’. Students and their parents are free to contact me anytime during the work hours.

Qualities to possess for an aspiring communication student

The students should become:

  • tech savvy
  • optimistic
  • command in any languages of their choice
  • explore options available at every level

Career tips for the media students

If they plan to make a career in the Media and Entertainment industry, do not think of immediate and lucrative returns. First understand that how to differentiate from the crowd, make some self-efforts during the academics too. Knowledge, efforts, and experiences shall be appreciated everywhere rather carrying just a certificate or degree only.
