Mr. Shashank Sakesna is the Chairman of the Prayag Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. He has 14 years of work experience and has done MBA in Hospitality and Tourism. Before joining PIHMCT, he has worked as a Supervisor, Assistant Manager at the Park Hyderabad, the Taj Hotels, Senior Assistant Manager at Dominos, Banquet Operations Manager at Golden Orchid Hotel, Hotel Operations Manager at Landmark Group & Safi Group, Food and Beverage Manager at JLL & Quintiles, Operating Partner in various Hotels, Resorts and Banquet Halls. He was the CEO at Hotel Ranbirs, Lucknow.

What was your vision for the College? And how far along in implementing that vision are you?

“To deliver best quality education in the form of creative and practical learning”

While I joined this college my objective was to impart vibrant, innovative and global education in the field of Hospitality. And if I talk about the progress, with the growing economy and increased purchasing powers, there has been tremendous growth in my vision. We have conducted many National and International Tours for our students in partnership with various Hotels. Also, the Government Sectors, such as the Indian Army and Indian Air Force have also joined hands with us for their officers and staff training.

What is your Leadership Philosophy?

“Leadership is all about influencing others' life in a positive way”

In my belief, true leadership is all about imparting technical knowledge. Because it develops a better perspective of looking at life and helps everyone including students to build opinions and have a positive point of view of things.

What extracurricular activities are organized in college to enhance the skills of the students?

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

“Analyze things before you act and work smartly to achieve your dreams”

I would advise my students to first analyze and review things whenever they are exposed to a new environment. Discover the cause and effect of every practice, training and outdoor catering in which you are involved. Also learn to enjoy hard work particularly your, and think wisely and systematically. Lastly, don’t forget to preserve our heritage and environment for your own self and for the upcoming generations as well.
