Dr.Kapil Dev Sharma is the Principal at Lord Buddha Institute of Technology and Science, Kota. He served as Principal at Government Commerce College, Kota and prior to that held the position of Head, Post Graduate Dept. of Business Administration at JDB Government College for Girls, Kota. Dr. Sharma is an Academic Counselor of IGNOU and VMOU MBA program and a visiting faculty of various Business Schools. He has a total of 36 years of teaching experience. He attended Pan Commonwealth Forums on Open Learning at the University of Brunei, University of London and University of Otago, Newzealand. He is a member of the Accreditation Panel of ICDE and Member of Board, WAOE. He was on the Board of Studies and External Expert for Faculty Board on Commerce of M S University, Baroda and Convenor of BoS at University of Kota. He is state government nominee in the Academic Council of University of Kota. He is a life member of Indian Society for Training and Development and has been Kota Chapter Chairman and National Council member of ISTD thrice. He has completed four University Grants Commission projects and published more than 30 research papers in International and National journals. In all, 25 scholars earned doctoral degrees under his supervision.

Our Institute was established in 1998. It is located in Ranpur Institutional Area in Kota. We offer in addition to B.Sc. and B.A. Four year integrated program i.e. B.Sc. B.Ed. and B.A. B.Ed. Admission to these programs are granted on the basis of merit secured by the aspirant in state level PTET Exam. From session 2021-22 we are offering M.Sc. Program in Chemistry, Zoology and Botany subjects. For this we got state government approval as well as University of Kota affiliation.

What is the top priority of campus for the next 10 years?

The college is looking to start new programs at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in emerging disciplines during the coming years. We believe that the entrepreneurial capabilities of our students need to be sharpened. We are also planning to provide in-campus coaching to our students so that they may develop the ability to perform better in various competitive exams to get good jobs and seek admission for further studies in premier institutions. We also aim to incorporate best practices in day to day working of the college. This may enable our students to learn in the best possible environment.
