Mr. Arpit Gupta is the Vice Principal of Swami Darshanananda Institute of Management and Technology, Polytechnic. He has completed his BE and ME from Rajasthan University. He is a certified Java trainer and currently holds more than 17 years of experience.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students? 

“To prepare lesson plans and educating students at all levels”

My duties include assigning homework, grading tests and documenting progress. I am able to instruct in a variety of subjects and students with engaging lesson plans. I ensure that the faculty must have regular meetings with parents to keep them informed and guide them about the progress of their wards. Subject teachers must discuss among themselves, prepare a schedule and distribute the homework as per the schedule to avoid overburdening the students.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated?

“A well-crafted curriculum serves as a reference to ensure that we are on the right track”

The components of the syllabus are designed to develop concepts from a basic level to increasing complex topics or skills. Key indicators of the curriculum success include the quality of the learning achieved by the students and how effectively students use that learning for their personal, social, physical, moral, psychological and emotional development.

What is your leadership philosophy?

“My style of leadership is a democratic leader”

My Leadership philosophy has value-based ideas of how a leader should be and act and the sources of their power. My leadership philosophy is a way of thinking and behaving. It is a combination of values and beliefs and consists of a series of reference points upon which process decisions, actions, plans can be built, developed and applied.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competitive world? 

“Work on one thing at a time”

Our college focuses on the round development of a student. We train students to get out of Job Mindset and focus on imparting knowledge and inculcating skills, be emotionally and mentally strong to face the challenges in life and focus on achieving goals in life

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry-oriented?

“Experiments are part of practical activity”

The most essential aspect of a practical and industry-oriented approach in engineering courses is that it establishes a basis for students' post-college lives. Internships are crucial in developing this mindset. Teaching and engineering are both skill-based occupations. Practical knowledge is more significant than academic understanding in certain disciplines. Experiments are part of practical activity.
