What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“To develop teamwork skills and evaluate the performance of students”

Our primary task is to teach students how to make reels on social media. Our other task is to evaluate student performances and by creating question papers. Before this we need to make a complete course, then execute it and make students follow the plan of action, and if you’re into journalism and mass communication, so for you’ll be specifically doing a lot of fieldwork, application work, assignment-based work.

How do you make subjects industry-oriented?

“By introducing students to social media and make subjects them career-oriented”

The social media platform is quite popular among the new generation. I take content from various social media platforms and then try my best to relate it with the teaching method. This methodology helps students in generating new skills which can be useful in the Journalism and Mass Communication industry.

What are the advantages of studying at your institute?

“The institute focuses on girl’s empowerment along with education”

This institute is recognized as a prominent learning place for girls. There are various activities organized in the institute by the girls’ students for themselves. The main objective of organizing these activities is to motivate and empower girl students alongwith providing quality education.

What are the difficulties your department faced during this pandemic?

“Modern technology has caused many problems along with solutions”

The new education system is more technology-friendly rather than having subject knowledge. During the pandemic, it is quite difficult to teach students as their mics are mute and cameras are off and you don’t even know what they’re doing. So the whole infrastructure of the classroom has been changed. but we try our best to overcome this situation.

What is your vision for the institute & its students?

“To minimize the gap between the students and industry training”

My vision is to bridge the learning and industrial work with this institute. So every day has been an achievement and new learning for us. In our institution, faculty team members are quite supportive and interactive. I am also blessed as I am working and learning under those faculty members with around 20 years of experience. I think that I am achieving my vision every day.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students?

“Treat students like they are family members”

I maintain good relations with the students. Usually, I need not say much to the students as they all are well mannered and disciplined. I like to have interaction with them as I treat them as my family members rather than just students. In this way, the students get motivated to achieve as much as they can for us.

Would you give any suggestions to the students?

“Learn knowledgeable skills because knowledge is power when you use it”

My biggest advice to the students is that they should not join any course only for the sake of a degree. Nobody will give you a job for your degree, the only way for achieving a job is to learn skills. So your education institute is providing you space for making mistakes while learning new things and learning from them for generating new skills.
