What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
“A stern believer of Decentralized Leadership”
My philosophy of leadership is based on the hidden words revealed by Baha‘u’llah and it states “Let deeds not words be your adorning.” I would simply put my leadership style as being one to lead through team spirit, sharing of responsibilities, faith, and trust in team members, giving an equal opportunity for individual growth. Being alert yet patient, being strict yet tolerant, allowing a free hand yet remaining watchful.

Any insights into how your university could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
“No place for discrimination in the education sector”
I believe mankind is one, the divisions are a result of our society’s selfish interest hence, all races, castes, and communities should be treated as equal. The meritorious yet economically affected students which may be due to various reasons that may also be a consequence of our past traditions and cultures. They need to be given special opportunities, by providing them with financial as well as academic support, counseling, motivation, and consistent mentoring.

What should be the University’s Top priority over the next 10 years?
“Producing learned individuals and responsible global citizens”
The top priority of our education system is to incorporate Universal Human Values into our Curriculum. The education system needs to be application-based learning modules. The teaching, learning, and evaluation methods have to be revamped not in Stages and Phases but in one major leap. Our education system has to be an open-ended learning module with independent thinking abilities, leading to self-reliant and confident learners and implementers of their knowledge, talents, capabilities and potentials.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
“There is no substitute for hard work”
There are a few adages that I would like the youth of today to keep before themselves. Get off the beaten track, belief in the future, and “Dare To Be Wise” this is quoted by Master Hahnemann. You are the future of the Nation; let your vision be selfless and world-embracing. It is important to remain a learner all your life. Lastly, be humble and generous in prosperity, patient, and honest in adversity.
What are some plans that you are currently designing for your College Students?
“Introducing programs that will help the students throughout their journey”
The incorporation of a credit system for continuous evolution of the teaching-learning methods. Increasing the clinical exposure of our students by identifying frequently used DOPS for the final year students and converting these skills into experiential (DEPS) Skills during their rotatory Internship periods. Value addition in the internship training program by Collaboration with the institution of Emergency medicine to provide hands-on training in ‘Basic Life Support’ which is based on the program of the American Heart Association (AHA). The institution shall soon implement an Exit Assessment program for its interns and postgraduates for Quality Assurance.
