What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Effective leadership, management and quality assurance”

I am responsible and accountable for setting and advancing the academic strategy of the department in line with other faculty to ensure the best possible learning experience to the students. I develop and sustain appropriate structures for management, consultation, decision-making and communication with staff and students to inculcate a healthy working environment. Also, I ensure all activities are carried out to the highest possible standards with placing all the necessary evaluation and monitoring procedures to ensure both compliance and improvement of students’ performances. Moreover, I work to create a dynamic and forward-looking research environment for both staff and students.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students?

“Constructively engaging students for better communication”

Providing full attention to each and every student is really necessary to build strong relations with them. We slot in one-on-one communication and interaction with the students in our classroom timetable to hear their voice and resolve their issues. We offer them a few sessions of mentorship and personal conversations to boost their confidence and motivate them. When you show students that you respect their academic and extracurricular interests by learning and asking questions about them, you can build strong and meaningful connections with them.

What are the best practices offered that help students gain necessary skills?

“Several developmental programs and wide opportunities”

I believe in giving real-time experience to the students via several training and internships being offered in the college. We ensure the highest levels of quality, integrity and ethics in all research undertaken and skill development programs. We create and exploit new opportunities for knowledge transfer activity in order to secure additional income streams and new areas of teaching and research among students and faculty as well. Further we have a well developed system of assessment and encouraging self-assessment among students also. We provide them with opportunities to attend and conduct several projects and seminars to update their knowledge and skills.

How are you trying to achieve the vision of your college?

“Inculcating skills among students and organized management”

Our vision aims to establish a well organized education centre for imparting knowledge and learning to students. We have incorporated several activities academically and administratively to achieve this visualization and benefit students to the maximum. We comply with auditing, quality assurance and risk management procedures both internally and externally for successful management. We acknowledge our students to be inquirers, communicators, risk takers, open-minded critical thinkers, reflective, be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances. We enable them to develop their skills and seek advice from a variety of sources and engage constructively with people.

What valuable advice would you like to the students?

“Be passionate and develop your skills”

Try to build your skill set according to the opportunity available outside. There should be a balance between your passion area and the probability of getting a job in that respective passion area. Always work around your strength and not what society is looking within you. Try to build your passion and develop your skill set accordingly.
