What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“The egalitarian leadership for upbringing the positive attitude in the college premises”

In my view a leader is a person who can delegate tasks to people as per their caliber and interest. Keep trust in their working styles, respect, and love them and we should give space. I believe that even though you are a leader, you are a learner. I am certain that as a participative leader I intend to create a positive area and attitude. I pursue democratic leadership in my institute. The leader is always focused on ensuring encouragement.

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?

“Several social media and physical motivational activities to create a powerful impact”

  • Most of the parents have a taboo set in their minds about polytechnic and they prefer other streams for their wards. To create awareness amongst the parents and the students we as a team are working on various strategies to create a brand.
  • We also organize technical visits of school students to our Institute.
  • We initiate Technical Summer Camps for the Tenth standard students.
  • We have our own YouTube channel, Instagram & Facebook account; we also have excellent reviews on Google.
  • We have a strong Alumni association who are our assets and most of our marketing and branding is done by them.

How does the curriculum of Sou. Venutai Chavan Polytechnic, ensure the best practice of industry?

“Practical learning for enhancing the decision making of the students in every situation”

We are determined to train our students through practical implementation to give them a strong practical aspect for every situation. We organize several student activities that are industry oriented like seminars and training, summer internships, and work projects. We hold expert conferences with various outside quizzes and participation. We offer project competitions for their technical as well as soft skill improvement. We have different clubs in sinhgad Institutes so through these clubs students get exposure to working with all other institute students in a team as per their interest. So not only theoretically but practically we are trying to do overall development through the prescribed curriculum of MSBTE.

Any insights into how your College could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“The college promotes anti-racism and doesn’t conduct any discrimination among the students”

In our college, the students come from various races, economic backgrounds, and cultures. The crowd over here is Cosmopolitan. Students feel at home here, we take utmost care that all the students are cordial to each other; they should be ready to help each other as and when required. Most of the seniors share their books, stationery, etc. with the economically weak students. Apart from that, we have a few sponsors who pay the fees of the economically weaker students; we also have many scholarship schemes. Through the moral values and holistic approach in our day to day sessions, we imbibe the feeling of humanity in our students.

What would you like people to know about your Institute they may not know?

“We work for student enrichments , learning, and excellence”

  • We are in the 28th year of our Academic Excellence.
  • Sinhgad Institutes stands tall with 12 campuses in and around Pune and 85 institutes.
  • Our four-storied Central Library is an asset and during exams, it's open 24 hours for the students to study.
  • We also have 24 hours Ambulance facility on the campus, two clinics, medical stores, and much more.

What do you see as Sou. VenutaiChavan Polytechnic’s greatest strengths?

“Our strengths don’t hold only one arena and has excelled in several fields”

The faculty members have become more like a family now and have a great atmosphere of working. All our Heads of the Department including me are associated with these Institutes for 24 to 25 years and we never thought of switching our jobs because of a very healthy and cordial atmosphere. As said earlier our Alumni Association is one of our strengths. Many of our Alumni have their industries, companies or they are in good positions handling their profiles excellently. Our other strengths are that many of our faculties are involved in MSBTE curriculum designing projects and all other important tasks of MSBTE.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Choose your passion and never stop putting in efforts for your career”

I would just like to suggest to the students and the parents that please don’t run the rat race. Understand the interests of the child and choose the career wisely so that they do not regret it in the future. Students should also see that they should enhance their overall personality as the future is for only ‘Survival of the fittest’. They should have the skills to face the challenges and they should learn to be emotionally balanced. Any education is incomplete without the values, holistic approach, or soft skills. So I would request the youth to be mentally and physically strong.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your College?

“We have established a healthy relationship in all prospects in the college with mutual respect”

I can proudly say that we already have a healthy relation and a cordial environment in our college. I respect the working pattern of each faculty and I delegate the tasks as per the interest and competence of the faculty. We also organize various events as Diwali meet, Women’s day, Teachers day, seminars on soft skills, exhibition, competitions, etc. Most of the events include entertainment also. During meetings or gatherings, I make it a point to keep it more interactive.
