Md. Shabeer is a BHM Faculty of the Varnika Institute of Hotel Management & Aviation College. He did Bachelor’s in Hotel Management from SITM, Visakhapatnam. He has work experience in Royal Palms Towers and Villas as a Senior Waiter for 12 months. He has also worked with NIAM Educational Foundation as a Hospitality Trainer and with Bonanza Human Resources Pvt Ltd. as a Hospitality Faculty.

Our vision is the success of students. We offer diplomas in hotel management, aviation, post-graduation, and Bachelor in hotel management courses for students. It aids them to know more about the hotel industry and start their career. 

What are the opportunities you provide to students for upcoming challenges in the industry?

“Part-time jobs, scholarships, and practical labs available to all pupils”

There are several opportunities available to candidates on campus. We give them part-time jobs, facilities like scholarships, hostel facilities, libraries, and practical labs. Moreover, we give them the best Labs in all the departments. That is the front office, housekeeping, and production. We train them and make them clean our building. It helps them practice and make them well-groomed for training.

What do you tell the students about career opportunities in the housekeeping department?

“Fast department in industry and up to time balance”

Housekeeping is a fast department in the industry. The guest will like to come and visit if the food is good by seeing the hotel. An unsatisfied response will get when the hotel is unclean. Hence, housekeeping plays a very big role in the hotel industry. I prefer the students to go to the housekeeping department. Because it is the department where you can go and come on time. It also aids the work of what you know and learns more.

What kinds of training do you give students at Varnika Institute of Hotel Management & Aviation College & Aviation College?

“The cleaning of manual equipment, staircase, sweeping, and dusting are primary duties of students”

We provide practical training for students. It contains the arrangements of bed, cleaning of a staircase, sweeping and dusting of a hotel. We show these steps in the class and digital session. Moreover, we also guide them about the manual equipment in the housekeeping department through the practical class.

What kinds of projects do you give to the students?

“Practice of towel art and cleaning process in the home”

I tell the students to use the cleaning process method at home. The practice of making face towels, bath Towel candles, swans, or any other towel art is helpful for project works. I ask them when they go home to kindly practice it. Hence, it will be useful for them during their training.

What is the upcoming educational trend in the industry post covid?

“Good career opportunities and the rise of tourists”

After covid, the traveling and hotel industry is now open. People are traveling from one place to another without any problems. We have a chance and opportunity now. I tell the students this is a very good career. We send them for training in the hotel. Hence, they get jobs during the tenure of training.

What kind of industries are students exposed to during their studies in Varnika?

“Visiting hotels as a part of training for pupils”

We take students for training and to any nearby hotels. Our campus shows them what kinds of work are going on. It helps them know how to do the work in the future. Hence, we make them visit the hotel for industrial training.

What are the future project plans at Vanika Institute of Hotel Management & Aviation College?

“Expansion of infrastructure for the betterment of candidates”

We plan to expand our infrastructure. The large production lab and better practical room thinking are opportunities for the students. It gives them more benefits in the hotel industry.

“Hotel industry gives you money and a good career”

I like to suggest choosing the best industry. The hotel industry is a vast space. They can earn more and be happy. This industry aids them with more money and a good career.
