The First DesignX College in India

The mission of India's first DesignX university, Anant National University, is to provide designers with the digital age's tools and a multidisciplinary approach in order to provide lasting answers to today's pressing problems.

Superior Technology and Facilities:

Modern and collaborative classrooms, creative workstations, student accommodation, a canteen, and athletic facilities are just a few examples of the state-of-the-art infrastructure that students have access to. The purpose of these designated areas is to provide a place for people to relax, find new ideas, and develop a habit of exploring and discovering.

Motivation for New Business Owners:

Aarambh incubation centre organises many events to inspire entrepreneurship among AnantU students and faculty. It provides opportunities for aspiring business owners to try out their ideas, receive guidance from seasoned professionals, network with other entrepreneurs, investors, and government and nonprofit organisations, and launch their own businesses.

Campus Sustainability:

Anant National University, nestled in lush grasslands next to a beautiful lake, provides students with experiences that go beyond what can be found in a conventional university setting. They learn to think critically and creatively by drawing on the natural world around them. Experiential education is at the heart of the university's commitment to sustainability, including students, faculty, and staff in the process of learning about and creating sustainable solutions.

Multidisciplinary:

Effective solutions to complex design problems typically result from team efforts that cross discipline boundaries and encourage creative thinking. Our designers learn to think laterally, apply design thinking principles, and come up with culturally relevant, attainable, and long-lasting answers to pressing problems. Our innovative educational approaches and focus on a wide range of subject areas allow each student to develop their full potential. They are motivated to improve their capacity for empathy, to think critically, and to increase the breadth of their professional expertise.

2. AnantU is leading the way in 21st-century design education with the pedagogy of design x

What we mean when we say "design" is a mode of thought that focuses on finding answers. The potential for design thinking and interventions in community, climate, built environment, fashion, craft, education, healthcare, and infrastructure development is vast.

Combining Design with other fields is essential in the modern world, especially those dealing with AI, AR/VR, analytics, biomimicry, sociology, economics, behavioural science, and public policy. Taking a more interdisciplinary approach to education helps students develop a more nuanced understanding of the world around them and acts as a powerful multiplier in ensuring that today's designers will continue to produce tomorrow's game-changing innovations.

At AnantU, we train designers to be proficient in their respective fields while also being effective communicators, team players, and critical thinkers. Our teaching methodology motivates students to adopt a revolutionary outlook and form the practise of actively seeking out and implementing innovative solutions to real-world problems. Future designers will come from AnantU.

3. What It's Like to Be a Student at AnantU

There is a lot for students to get involved in on the AnantU campus, which is situated on the outskirts of Ahmedabad amongst nature, including lush green trees and a picturesque lake.

The OSS at AnantU is dedicated to provide students with a fulfilling and enjoyable college experience. The Student Council is an elected body of students who advocate for and promote student-led projects and serve as a liaison between the student body and the administration.

Efforts Spearheaded by Students

Under the direction of the AnantU Student Council, students have organised into a wide variety of groups in which they have a common interest and to which they individually make unique contributions. Students have the option of participating in one of the many preexisting clubs—such as those devoted to photography, graphics, dance, music, and installations—or creating and leading their very own. Our students host a variety of festivals that feature both academic and cultural events. Known as "wellbeing warriors," our student body works hard to make AnantU a positive environment for everyone. In order to ensure that all members of the AnantU community have access to quality mental health care, the university's wellbeing initiative, Bloom, actively engages both students and faculty to establish a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable speaking openly about their experiences and asking for help when they need it.
