Collegedunia Team: What was your CAT percentile? Did you avail reservation benefits for IIM Jammu MBA Admission?
Nishikant: I secured a CAT percentile of 79.13% in my examination. And, I am from SC background, so there were reservation benefits.

Collegedunia Team: Can you please describe your Pre MBA Academic Performance for Collegedunia readers?
Nishikant: Yes, I had scored 83% in my 10th board exam, and 66.62% in 12th board exam. Furthermore, I completed my graduation with a total score of 7.69 GPA.

Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any).
Nishikant: Due to Covid, IIM Jammu did not have any WAT/ GD for the admission process.
Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.
Nishikant: The panel consisted of 2 faculty members. The interview was protracted online and the duration of each session was 12-14 minutes. The stress level was easy to medium.
My suggestion for the aspirants is to brush up the basics of their UG, especially if they are fresher. If you are an engineer, prepare your final year project in depth with practical applications. Kindly go through the GK and GA of your region. And also the Introduction should be unique.
Collegedunia Team: Mention at least 5 questions that were asked in IIM Jammu Interview and how you responded to each of them?
Nishikant: The questions asked during the Interview are:
Ques 1. Tell me something about yourself which is not in your CV?
Ques 2. Recent happenings in chess around the world? (As I mentioned, my favourite sport, chess, during my introduction)
Ques 3. Give a brief about your final year project. (asked a few follow-up questions)
Ques 4. Any five crucial points that you feel are essential for the budget 2021?
Ques 5. Do you feel the jobs of an electrical engineer are vanishing? and Why?

Collegedunia Team: Mention any three reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted.
Nishikant: The three main reasons were:
1) Average Package is high.
2) Connectivity from my hometown to the Institute is good.
3) IIM Jammu is the most emerging IIMs among CAP compared to other baby IIMs.

Nishikant: The major reason for me not converting to other colleges was my poor academics.
