A philanthropist and social worker, Ms. Ashvini Jadhav is presently working as the Managing Trustee & Founder at Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies, Navi Mumbai. She has served as the member of Censor Board for Film Certification (CBFC) for 2 years (2011-2013), and has been awarded with WOW-Women’s Achiever Awards as an independent Entrepreneur and Socialite. Also, Ms. Ashvini Jadhav has been continuously involved in benefiting the society by her constant thriving attitude for the betterment of management institute.

What keeps you connected with the education sector?

“The key to learning and evolving into a better human being”

I realize that education is the basic need of all children and it is this zest of students that inspires me to do better and provide better opportunities to youths. My varied experience of various fields like corporate, entertainment industry, social work has urged me to stay connected with the education field as it is the core of every human being’s development that helps us form a better society and evolve as a human on this earth. 


How would you describe your leadership style?

“Delegation, participation and motivation”

We work as team members when required and delegate the work as Managing Trustee when needed. I believe that you need to let your team challenge their capabilities. A leader is consistent and persistent about his/her team. Being professional is important but when we own up to every single challenge faced by our staff, we create a better working environment. As a leader one needs to be a constant source of motivation and guidance. 


What can an inbound student gain from studying here in your college?

“Providing opportunities to gain knowledge on a global level”

To bring students at par to those from foreign universities, we believe in continuous improvement that is achieved after identifying gaps through feedback mechanisms. Our focus is to provide quality education to the students through outcome based teaching and learning programs focusing on their skills and abilities. We give our students exposure to the structure of foreign countries as well through international industrial IV’s which also includes visit to the universities in many countries. This helps our students understand and learn better.

How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practice of industry?

“Continuous industrial exposure and better adaptable pedagogy”

Since we focus on adapting the Bloom’s taxonomy style of teaching and learning, i.e. understand, apply, analyze, evaluate and then create. It benefits our students in getting first-hand experience of working with Industry experts and Industrial visits. Our mission is to encourage faculty and students for Industry-Academia Interaction. We try to identify the gaps between our curriculum and industry requirements and bridge it by providing exposure in the form of International Industry visits and providing training, seminars, and lectures from industry experts on a frequent basis. 


What do you think your roles and responsibilities towards the students are? 

“Rigorous curriculum, internships, projects and activities for lifetime goals”

Our role primarily is to impart the best curriculum and good administrative policies that stands for benefit of the students. We ensure industry relevant syllabus by regular reviewing curriculum content and updating and upgrading accordingly along with regular training sessions and project allotments. We take care of all minute details that help graduates to learn, adapt and work in teams to attain their professional goals. Our roles and Responsibilities towards students is to equip them with the best skills and tools required by the respective field of specialization chosen. When a student graduates from our institute we ensure that they are well trained and confident to choose the sector of their choice.


What do you see as the greatest strengths of your college?

“Faculty, strategic curriculum designing and financial assistance”

We have valuable and esteemed, research-oriented teaching staff with extensive experience and knowledge to teach students in the most authentic manner. We map our course to its Program outcomes and Program Specific Outcomes which further facilitates us in strategizing for attainment of the course outcome. Recently, we have introduced scholarships to COVID frontline warrior’s kids. We have separate scholarships sponsored by our Parent Trust “Jawaharlal Nehru Institute Of Education Science and Technological Research Trust” to help specifically students coming from lower economic backgrounds. NBA accreditation surely adds a feather on the cap.
