In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here at VSOM?

“A dynamic learning environment with strong faiths and values”

Along with regular course knowledge and information about the world, we teach our students the ethos of cultural diversity and the value of mutual respect and tolerance. VSOM encompasses a very practical, industry-oriented, value-leader-oriented pedagogy that benefits students in every sphere of life. We believe in the values of justice and inequality as mentioned in the preamble to the constitution of India. We strongly have faith in the idea that knowledge is the greatest tool for human welfare and national development and therefore hail the ideas of inclusive education.

How does the curriculum of VSOM ensure the best practice of industry?

“Developing broader professional skills through industry-based syllabus”

We at Vishisht School of Management actively collaborate with industry to devise, revise and stream our curriculum according to the changing demand and needs of the industry. This helps us in imparting relevant skills to our students and that they are industry-ready when they complete their respective degrees. Skills like communication, teamwork, critical thinking and flexibility have always been integral parts of the Vishisht School Of Management curriculum and it has become even more crucial for future generations in recent times. To prepare students for the Global market, we focus on skills not score and provide them with world-class infrastructure and mentors.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the students are?

“Teaching and assisting students to develop holistically”

Using simple illustrative and engaging techniques to deliver my content so that its reception by students is quick and long-lasting is my role as a teacher. Brainstorming, creating and executing programs and tools for the holistic development of students are my responsibilities towards them. I work with my full capacity and caliber in executing my responsibilities with utmost efficiency.

What do you think should be VSOM’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Accumulating and establishing strong alumni networking”

Making sure to build a strong alumni base and keeping track of what the good graduates are doing is a priority. We aspire to establish a stronger counselling cell for the students and educate them about the big companies like I-banks, Big Fours, and other big FMCG names. All the big colleges are doing great because their Alumni are doing great - is one of the visions.

What do you see as Vishisht School of Management’ greatest strengths?

“Best strategies for student management and development”

  • Inclusivity- Our curriculum, demography of our students and our fee structure is highly inclusive in nature
  • Synthesis of Liberty and discipline- We at VSOM believe that for the holistic development of a student a fine balance between displaying actions and avenue for liberty and freedom needs to be established
  • Balance- A steady approach between skill-based and value-based education
  • Faculties- Teacher with a diverse background in both academics and industry which will give a wide and enriching learning trajectory to students

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in India?

“Adapting and flourishing practical policies”

We are still lacking behind to find a place in the top hundred universities of the world. In spite of various attempts and measures undertaken by several governments during six decades, none of them were able to take forward our education system to reach where it is supposed to be. Looking into the present time blended learning is the necessity and implementing it in an effective and efficient way is what I see as a major challenge in general. Much awaited National Education Policy is a positive step towards building a holistic individual however its execution is yet to be seen.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current students?

“Acquire a wider sense of knowledge accomplishments”

Students need broader learning opportunities to help prepare themselves for the uncertainties of the future. Young people everywhere need to develop a greater breadth of skills to evaluate and apply knowledge in ways that meet the new demands of our changing social and economic landscape.
