Dr. Vipul Vekariya is the Director of Noble Group of Institutions, Junagarh. Having completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering, he has worked in different position in reputed institutions and achieved many milestones in terms of pedagogical innovation award, excellent paper award at Australia, Research & Develpoment. In the interview, he talks about the importance of practical knowledge and why students should make optimal use of the technology. He then mentions his leadership style and how the institute focuses on the holistic development of the students. Along with that, the opportunities the institute creates for the students and how they ensure the exposure to the industry relevance areas for them. He emphasizes the importance of treating students equally and how he values the extraordinary and creative work. One of the main reasons to pursue a career in academia was because of the opportunity to work with the future generation of our country. My philosophy of teaching is based on the belief that learning needs to be students centric and the students are equal partners in the learning process. The pivotal objectives in teaching is to facilitate learning by helping students to gain the necessary skills to take control of and become active participants in their own learning. Knowledge that is gained through active participation is knowledge that will stay with an individual forever.

Being the Director of Noble Group of Institutions, I believe that leadership is not any position or authority. Leader is the person who takes initiatives and creates opportunities. He thinks for the welfare of the team.

As a leader it is my duty to give them a vision and path of work. I found the true potential of my employee and assigned tasks of their interest and good skills. So they can perform very well in a given task.

Ensuring that engineering students are well-equipped for a dynamic, successful career, and preparing them to become capable engineering professionals in a world full of changes, is a major challenge the country is currently facing. To help overcome these challenges I have empowered new methods of teaching to bring the change.

Our education and 360 degree development quality always speaks louder than marketing and administration strategy. NGI provides a platform to the students for making their dreams come true. Our student’s always do our marketing by their successful and well achieved career. 

In some rural areas near our college where people are not aware about higher education. We plan some education awareness programs and career guidance programs for their knowledge.

I believed more in social media marketing compared to paper marketing. We concentrate more on what alumni speak, Current students’ feedback and faculties' views. All things we are highlighting on social media. We have a good informative website, Facebook and Instagram page for regular updates of college activities, and a good personal counselor for solving the students' queries.

We have established opportunities for students to develop their skills by effective teaching pedagogy

I recently visited Australia. In Melbourne many colleges and universities offer online and offline courses, which follow a totally practical and industry-oriented approach and provide a platform to students for developing skills and career. We established opportunities for students to develop their skills by effective teaching pedagogy, career mentoring, beyond the curriculum activities, Industry Integrated approach and campus recruitment program.


We make sure to provide exposure to the student via various mediums 

We provide opportunities for practical learning by developing research and innovation labs at our campus. We frequently plan hands-on training by industry experts to aware students about current industry needs. As per curriculum subject we organize industrial visits of concern industry regularly. So students can see the workflow and environment of industry and be ready for industry.

We treat all the students the same as they might come from different economic backgrounds. We provide scholarships to the students based on their academic performance. Also, during admission time, we provide flat scholarship to each and every student in the past 6 years. Here, the students come from an underprivileged background, and thus we make sure to give them the best quality experience. They can not afford the fees of colleges which are situated in urban areas like Rajkot ,Ahmedabad and Baroda so we are providing excellent facilities and infrastructure at very economical fees. 


My role is to set examples of extraordinary and creative work done on deadline

“Our mind is not ready to do what instruction it gets but always ready to do what others are doing.” 

So, as a director my role is to set examples of extraordinary and creative work done on deadline. My role is to develop Standard Operating Procedures for all institutions of campus. As it improves the quality of work. Not to forget, selection and recruitment of best staff and induction of senior staff is a major responsibility because staff plays an important role in developing students' successful careers.


The goal is to develop a student-centric environment for them to prosper

My overarching goal in teaching is to develop the student-enteric environment.When planning a course file, I identify a set of objectives and skills. Designing the course plan that mainly focuses on the application of critical thinking to foster deep learning, and the use of collaborative learning skills to cater to real world solutions of the problems.

In Overall teaching and learning process, I incorporate multiple choices and ways through the learning materials. I encourage students to engage in open-ended formative and summative evaluation of the I also ask students to self-evaluate individual progress. My design of the course includes a data-driven evaluation component, that focuses on systematic outcomes and results that are clearly tied to course goals and objectives.

I have few suggestions for the youth to incorporate in their lives. Technology in today’s era works as a blessing and if we utilize it in a better way, it can be best optimized and leveraged . The only problem is that students are not utilizing the same in the right direction. They should make use of the principle of “Start where you are”, “Do what You can”, and “Use what You.

Long term goals can only be achieved via completion of short term goals 

We have big plans for the future. But, the big plans can only be achieved via completion of short term goals. Thus, we have to synchronize and provide direction for international research work, skills development and career options. Also, we have to serve as the resource center for international linkages, which will help promote the involvement of faculty members and students in international research and development projects, facilitate access to international funding opportunities We plan for the digital education era by online teaching- learning process and developing Resource center for International Education at our campus.
