Experience in the Education industry

After almost a decade of industry stint as an auditor, my foray into academics was not a planned decision. My experience with small teaching assignments gave me the confidence to take up teaching as a full-time profession. Transferring knowledge and skills to youth to help them build a career gives one a great sense of satisfaction. There is a lot of scope for innovation and reinvention in teaching be its contents, teaching methods or technical skills. Also, one has to be abreast with the latest developments in the industry. It makes the job challenging as well as interesting. Today the world of education is evolving. There are more academia-industry collaborations which open up a world of opportunities for educationists. Hence, I feel for those with a passion for teaching, it is one of the best industries to work in.

Challenges faced in the education industry

The biggest challenge to any institution in the education industry is to remain relevant.

Every institution has to ensure that it offers programs which are contemporary and meet industry expectations. It is a constantly evolving sector. With changing industry profiles, the expectation w.r.t knowledge and skill sets from students is also changing. The education sector has thus to review, reinvent and brace themselves to adapt to the changing requirements.
