What are the daily and long-term benchmarks you uphold as the VCAP's chief executive officer?

"As an institution, we concentrate on the daily progress that will eventually lead us to our long-term objective"

Our daily checkpoints prioritise the process, creative sensibilities, and social and ethical responsibility.

How can you assure the continual flow of education within your organisation?

As an institution, we are fostering an environment in which students may develop their abilities to think and communicate through drawing, making, writing, and discussing ideas with others while defining and articulating their own approach to the discipline. These abilities will aid in bringing the greatest architectural techniques to a future architect.

What do you believe your tasks and responsibilities are towards the college and its students?

"I always state that I am an architectural student. As my surrounding environment evolves, I continue to learn and adapt"

And I strive to make VCAP a constantly learning atmosphere. VCAP is the curriculum that prepares students to enter the profession by addressing the needed knowledge for architecture and the intricacies of the field as well as the inherent obligations of practising architecture. As an architect and planner, it is largely my responsibility to construct the city of Visakhapatnam for the people, where they may grow, study, and generate possibilities. Today, I am constructing a universe for kids to explore, create, and perform experiments, as well as do research and establish a creative process in order to become the greatest in their field.

What would you like people to know about your organisation that they might not already know?

"Look here at VCAP, we are not merely interested in improving drawing abilities, nor are we teaching students to become draughtsmen"

Rather, we are empowering them to rethink and design a better world for future generations. In addition, living in the city of Visakhapatnam, we are continuously confronted with climate change and rising sea levels. As an architecture student, learning begins when the fundamental problem is identified. Therefore, VCAP empowers pupils to think critically.

How can you develop healthy relationships and an atmosphere within your Institute?

The institute's health at VCAP depends on four pillars. First, relationships with fellow students; second, with the environment; third, with society; and fourth, with the architecture ecosystem. The institution will nourish and enrich all four components.

What roles do online and digital platforms play in the promotion of your institution?

"Our academics communicate with students and are available to assist them at any time"

The world has been taken over by online and digital media, and VCAP has adapted to these changes. We developed platforms for student interaction and communication of design concepts.

Due to the pandemic, what changes have you observed in the number of students pursuing higher education?

"I think It made us more resilient, and we continue to learn from the pandemic as we progress"

The pandemic has brought together students, professors, and the educational system. During the pandemic, our professors were instrumental in bringing students together to learn and create.

Do you have any recommendations for the current youth and the aspiring students?

"My sole recommendation is to always be a student!"

Continue to learn, to think, and to create safe environments for the world.

What are (or will be) some of the plans you are currently (or will be) designing for VCAP?

"Students learn to think critically, produce architecture through reflection and invention"

Construct using a variety of materials, understand the technical aspects of architecture, communicate ideas through drawing, model making, writing, and speaking, and be socially and ethically engaged in society. After being exposed to the fundamentals of the field—design, material performance, digital and manual representation, and architectural history—students solidify their work by focusing on architectural, urban design, and environmental issues, advanced topics in architectural history, and complex architectural design problems.

As the Principal of VCAP, what is your leadership philosophy? How would you describe your style of leadership?

"My philosophy is to motivate communities toward better living conditions"

Leadership, in my view, entails creating safe environments for people, not by only inventing or prescribing the rules, but by engaging in and appreciating the surrounding communities. What architecture has taught me over the years is that I will always be an enabler.
