Dr. Ravleen Kaur Bhasin is the Director of Shri RGP Gujarati Professional Institute since 2014. She has done MBA in Finance and PhD in Management. She has been in the teaching field for the last 20 yrs. Her area of subject expertise includes Banking, Financial Services and Portfolio management. Apart from teaching, she is also an active member of Souls for Slum Charitable society an NGO in Indore set up in 2012.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

"To look after students' study and personality development needs"

My major responsibilities being the Director of the institute are to take care of our student's academic growth, making them more expressible along with boosting their confidence about their overall persona.

How do you prepare your students to cope with this competitive world?

"By organizing inspirational sessions for them"

I think everywhere, in every field, there is a certain kind of competition going on. And to deal with this, one has to be confident and morally and internally strong with a positive mindset so that they can handle any kind of tough situation. Hence our ultimate motto is to develop this kind of attitude and positive change in our students' mindset. To make this happen, we usually conduct motivational programs for our students to keep their morale high and an attitude full of confidence.

How do you introduce a practical and industry-oriented approach to subjects?

"We organize symposiums, training programs and personality development activities"

Our College conducts several seminars and workshops so that students can be taught concepts in a live and practical environment. And then we teach them the theory portion of subjects, because according to me when you visualize things or learn things by doing it, your command of a particular subject becomes stronger. And if I talk about the personality development of our students to make them Interview ready, we organize Mock Interviews, Group Discussion Sessions from time to time.

How does your college enhance the skills of the faculty and prepare them according to the industry standards?

"By providing seminars and training programs as per individual requirements"

I think having a strong and competent faculty is an asset for any institute and to enhance their skills, we conduct certain specific programs, seminars, and workshops for each department. Along with this, we provide them with certain personality development sessions to make them the best communicators.

What are the approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to teaching the students?

"I organize campaigns and social welfare initiatives to teach them moral values"

We believe in giving quality education to our students with a blend of moral, cultural, and religious and ethical values. Because a person who has these qualities remains humble and grounded when they reach the pinnacle of their success. Coming to my approaches, then we go for campaigning and we have worked with certain NGOs on several projects for society's welfare. We also conduct cultural programs as per the festivals. Lastly, we let our students do charity for the underprivileged ones.

When you joined this college, what was your vision?

"To deliver the best quality education and increase our presence in the whole country"

While I joined this college, my only objective was to bring the best growth opportunities for our students and enhance our reach among the student community. Along with this, I always aspire to help this institute reach new heights with my contribution and past experiences.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students?

"By being their mentor and friend as and when required"

We always try to have empathetic relationships with our students. We support them as mentors, guides, and at times their friends to understand their mental blocks regarding any situation.

Any valuable advice would you like to give to students for a prosperous career ahead?

"Make the best use of time and keep learning new things"

I would only say that this is the most pivotal stage one has as it contains so much passion, vigor, and ideas altogether. If one remains consistent in their efforts, one can achieve anything in life. Finally, I would suggest all the students choose and use their time in the best possible way, learn as much as they can, and make mistakes, but do not repeat them twice. Be fearless and confident to attain greater heights in your life.
