Malaysian Professor delivers a lecture at GITAM Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 12^th October 2018: A lecture was delivered by Dr. Mallikarjuna Rao Pichika, Associate Dean, International Medical University, Malaysia on the topic, ‘How to build a career in Pharmacy’ at School of Pharmacy, GITAM Hyderabad on October 11, 2018.

In his lecture, he explained the importance of soft skills along with the knowledge of core subjects for a successful career in Pharmacy. He correlated some of the behavioural aspects of students which could hamper their professional behaviours in the future. He gave practical examples to explain the necessity of developing soft skills for their overall personality growth and development.

As a part of World Pharmacists Day – 2018, B.Pharm first semester students took the Pharmacists oath. The pledge of the oath was given by Mr. K. Abhiram, one of the students of the senior batch. Earlier, Prof. G. Shiva Kumar, Principal, School of Pharmacy introduced the guest. Dr. Rakesh Barik, Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy proposed the vote of thanks.
