GITAM’s Assistant Professor gets ‘Best Paper Presentation Award’

Hyderabad, December 26, 2018: Md. Akhtar Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Aerospace Engineering, GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad received ‘Best Paper Presentation Award’ in International Conference on ‘Application of Fluid Dynamics’ (ICAFD-2018) held at VIT, Vellore recently. The conference organized in association with University of Botswana and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, USA.

In his research aerodynamic performance of corrugated wing is performed at Reynolds numbers of 15,000 using CFD. This research comprises of the aerodynamic performance of 2-D dragonfly corrugated aero foil at different angle of attack (AoA) varying corrugated angle and peak height. The dragonfly wing design pioneers the future development of the Micro Wind Turbine and helps in border security surveillance.
