What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“To make them mentally strong and resolve their issues on time”

I think being in the teaching profession is like a blessing in disguise. We are in a way linked with the future growth and development of our nation. As far as my responsibilities are concerned, I guide and motivate my students to always be positive and how to effectively deal with every situation. Besides teaching, I focus on enhancing their conceptual knowledge with various practical examples. 


What do you see as your college’s greatest strengths and how it can be enhanced?

“Events and programs which we offer describe our strengths”

Our strengths lie in the Updated curriculum, VAD courses, webinars related to updated topics from experts from various organizations, co-curricular activities, students’ active participation and discipline. Continuous efforts are being given to enhance this exciting strength of ours. 


What are the approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to teach students?

“I conduct drama activities to help them relate subject concept”

I indulge my students in activities like role play which are based upon case studies. Besides this, I also use cooperative pedagogy among the students to solve various real-life problems. 


How does your department upgrade its faculties as per industry standards?

“By bringing opportunities like FDP, workshops and training for them”

The institute always encourages them to enroll themselves in Faculty Development Programs which are generally conducted by AICTE and by various premier Institutions. Various workshops are also conducted to upgrade their skills. Faculties are motivated to participate in various national and international conferences and to contribute towards research in various fields.


How does the curriculum of your department ensure the best practice of the industry?

“Curriculum is backed by journals and latest developments in the industry”

Our curriculum consists of various issues, case studies and updated topics for all the subjects. Quizzes are conducted based on numerous topics related to the subjects. Bloom’s Taxonomy is followed during the design and evaluation of the curriculum.

Which challenge you are facing to uplift the quality of education of your department?

“To shift students focus from the digital world to books”

As we all know that ours is an information age that should be used in a positive way. The availability of smartphones has both advantages and disadvantages. In one way it can give easy accessibility to the students to the outside world but if it is used for wrong purposes then it creates a lot of disturbance related to the attention and concentration of the students that can have an adverse effect on the long run.


What extracurricular activities are organized in college to enhance the skills of the students?

“Games, questionnaire and academic activities are conducted by college”

Numerous Co-curricular activities are conducted in our college on a regular basis such as quizzes, debates on recent topics, business games, virtual trading activities, competition related to financial statement analysis, etc. Apart from this various sports and cultural activities are conducted to enhance the skills of our students.


How do you prepare your students to tackle the challenges of real world?

“By upgrading them through enhanced courses”

I help my students by providing guidance and advice to develop themselves so that they can always stand apart from the mass. Also, Value Added Courses are conducted to keep our students updated regarding the skills required related to Financial Modelling using Excel, Advanced MS Excel, Tally, ERP, etc.


How does your department make students ready for placements?

“We offer demo interview and discussions to make them placements ready”

The placement statistics of our institute are quite good. And to prepare our students to face placement interviews, we conduct activities like group discussion, screening tests and special personality development classes, etc.


How do you strategize and update the curriculum to make it befitting for the students?

“A special panel of industry experts and our alumni review it before final update”

The curriculum is updated on yearly basis in our Institution and course review is conducted by a review panel that consists of corporate personnel and our alumni. The curriculum is always updated keeping in view the updated topics related to the various subjects.


How do you try to bring in a practical and industry-oriented approach towards subjects?

“I take help of journals and practical exercises to enforce this mode”

To give them practical insight related to the subject, various case studies and practical problems are used to deal with various real-life situations. Along with this, seminars and workshops are conducted by various experts from different organizations who give insights to the subjects and share their experiences.


How do you establish healthy relations with the students?

“By ensuring my availability and support for them in need”

Mutual Cooperation, love and respect form the basis for all relationships. Students are our assets and they are always nurtured with love and care. They are given the freedom to share their problems with us and we provide appropriate solutions for those issues.

“Be determinant and confident”

My advice to the students is “Always be positive in your life. All strengths are within you. You can do anything and everything. Always remember the 5 Ds- Desire, Direction, Dedication, Determination, and Discipline, to achieve success in your life.”
