Mr. Shuaib Mohd. is the Director of Kalka Institute For Research And Advanced Studies, Kalka Group Of Institutions. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry from Hamdard University, He has an experience of over 25 years as a professor, lecturer, and reader in AICTE and PCI approved colleges. 

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector? 

“Contributing to the betterment and development of society”

Education is an important aspect of life. With all the knowledge that I have acquired so far, I want to give back to society. I have always been inclined towards the education sector. I love teaching and it has always been my passion. I try to share my knowledge with not just my students but also my staff. 

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school? 

“Treating students as the most important stakeholders”

In my opinion, the best strategy is to develop a system that gives the best of facilities to the students so that they market our institute with the ‘word of mouth’. I have always ensured that all the key decisions and initiatives are being taken care of. It is my responsibility to make sure that the management functions ethically and works in the best interest of the students. 

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 5 years? 

“Giving a platform to the students to explore and expand their intellect”

The top priority is to introduce a Masters’s degree program in Pharmacy. I plan on establishing and encouraging a research culture in the institute. A research-oriented environment will cater to the development of the institute and the betterment of the students. Lastly, I believe that will our capabilities, we should aim at serving as many people we can.

What was your vision for the university? Has it evolved, and how far along in implementing that vision are you? 

“Maintaining the essence of the designation I am in”

My vision always has been to do justice to the position I hold and make this institute an epicenter for research and development. Research is the area that takes any institute forward. So, in my pursuit of excellence, I have always stressed the importance of research and I have always been fond of the same. 

What would you like people to know about your university they may not know? 

“Being a dedicated student-centric institute” 

I would like people to know that we are a people’s institute. I have always envisioned the institute to be the first choice for aspiring students. I have and will always look after the well-being of my students and the faculty.
