Prof. Rizwan Farade is the HOD of the AIKTC, Navi Mumbai. He is working as Institutional Head Coordinator for the second cycle of NAAC accreditation. He did B.E, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in Electrical Power Engineering. He is a lifetime member of the Indian Society for Technical Education. Moreover, he has published research articles in IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, and MDPI indexed journals. He has 14 years of career experience in the teaching profession.

What connects you with the Education Sector?

“Continuous learning and research in the education field”

Continuous learning and research connect me with the educational sector. The education Sector provided me with a platform to learn new skills. It also aids to keep up with current trends. I have been working in the education sector for the past 14 years. As a teacher, My responsibility is for academic research instead of teaching students.


What are your roles and responsibilities?

“Keep track of the academic success in the department”

My primary role is to ensure a course curriculum is on schedule. I collect lesson plans, arrange and schedule them with the support of the teaching team. It is essential to maintain student and faculty performance in the department. I provide academic standards in the department by coordinating departmental meetings. Interacting with students, identifying problems, and developing solutions with the Director are necessary parts.


What are the extracurricular programs to raise the skills of the students?

“Sports, cultural events, NSS and Extension activities are provided for pupils”

Life at an engineering college is fairly monotonous and tedious. There are many activities students can choose from inside the campus. It includes sports, cultural events, numerous extensions under Center for NSS and MOOC Course.

We take steps to guarantee a practical and industry-oriented approach. We invite industry professionals to conduct workshops for our students and teaching staff. It keeps up with current trends and incorporates them into regular courses. Students will get the opportunity to work on real-life projects. It helps them to work as future professionals. Moreover, students will be referred to internships based on interesting areas. It prepares them for the future.
