Periyar Maniammai University (PMU) is a deemed university in Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. It offers various UG, PG and doctoral degree in multiple domains. It has four different departments namely: School of Architecture and Planning (SAP), School of Engineering and Technology(SET), School of Computing Science and Engineering(SCSE) and School of Humanities Science and Management(SHSM). PMU conducts its own entrance test PMUET for admissions to various course it offers. The academic calendar for university can be downloaded directly from university website.

The exams are conducted in semester pattern i.e. twice in an academic year. The odd semester is conducted in the month of December and even semester is conducted in the month of May. The result is published on official website after completion of semester exam. The university also provides provision of distance education under the umbrella of COADE (Centre of Online and distance education). PMUET 2022

The university conducts its own entrance test known as PMUET. PMUET stands for Periyar Maniammai University Entrance test. It is conducted to gauge students who seek admission in various courses at PMU. The exam consists of 180 questions. 60 questions each is asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.  The medium of instruction for questions is English. There is no negative marking and total marks is 180. The students can access the application form for PMUET in following steps:

PMU Academic Calendar 2022

The PMU follows semester system of examination i.e. exams are conducted twice in an academic year. PMU Result 2022

PMU uploads the result of semester on its official website. The result is declared after the completion of semester examination. Candidates should regularly visit the official university website to keep them updated about result. The student can access the result in following steps:

  3. Under admissions, click on admission procedures.
