Sanath: “No WAT/GD”

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Sanath: “There were two panelists, both were professors. My IIMK interview revolved around basic questions like tell me about yourself, why MBA, why Kozhikode, not Indore, etc. I didn't expect these questions as my previous interviews were completely into my academics and work experience. So one must be ready for anything. It was an online interview and the duration was around 12 mins only. I was anxious about the interview as not many questions were asked but ended up being selected in the first list. The interviews will surprise you, so be ready for that. The surprise may be an easy interview as well as a tough one.”

Sanath: “It completely depends on the mindset of the one who takes. In my interview, one dug deep into my academics and work. The other asked questions like what are the nearby countries to India, and gave some names and asked whether they touched India's boundary or not. Also, he asked about the line of control and line of actual control. My other interviews also revolved around my work and grades. One must be sure of whatever he/she has done in the past, also whatever comes out from them during the interview.”

Mention 3 reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted.

Sanath: “I converted all colleges except IIM ABC as I didn't get calls for interviews from them.

I choose Kozhikode over others because of its pedagogy, its collaboration with Yale University, and also its incubation center. I even said this in my interview.”

What was the reason for you not converting other colleges? (if any)

Sanath: “Nothing, I converted everything I interviewed for.”
