IGNOU 36th Convocation is scheduled to be held on April 3, 2023, Monday 11:00 am. This year, the IGNOU Convocation will be held at IGNOU Main Campus and 36 selected Regional Centers across the country. However, the students will have to attend the Convocation and collect the certificate from the Regional Centre they belong to and not at any other Regional Centre. Check IGNOU Admission
At IGNOU Convocation, the original certificate will be presented to the students who have successfully finished their course of study in December 2021 and June 2022. IGNOU convocation 2023 ceremony will be telecasted live on Doordarshan, GyanDarshan, and Swayam Prabha channels. The program will also be webcast through IGNOU official Website and social media platforms. The President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu will be the chief guest at IGNOU 36th convocation. IGNOU students who have completed their Programme of study in December 2021 and June 2022 Term End Examinations are eligible for award of original certificate at IGNOU Convocation.
IGNOU Convocation Registration Process
- Visit: https://onlineservices.ignou.ac.in/convocation/
- Read the instruction carefully and tick the checkbox of Declaration.
- Click on “I agree and proceed”.
- You will be directed to the Registered Student Login Page
- Login by using Enrollment no. and Password.
- Select the preferred method of receiving diplomas
- Pay the requisite fee through Online mode only as per the details below:
- Fee can be paid online through the Debit/ Credit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay) of any bank or Net Banking.
- Print the acknowledgment of the registration form. If you do not receive an acknowledgement, you may wait for 48 hours.

IGNOU Convocation General Instructions
- The students must show up for Convocation and pick up their certificates at the Regional Center in which they are enrolled, not at another Regional Center.
- The option to Attend Convocation in Person or Get a Degree/Diploma by Post is open to all students.
- The current address at which each student wishes to receive their degree, diploma, or certificate must be filled out during registration.
- The student must attend the Convocation at another nearby Regional Center, which may be mostly in the same state or nearby state if for some reason the Convocation cannot be held at the Regional Center where they are registered.
- The pertinent Regional Center will post the student's degree or diploma if they were not invited to the convocation or were unable to attend despite having paid the required fee. In the case of P.G. Certificate/Certificate Programs, the certificate will be sent by Headquarters.

Ques. After paying the IGNOU Convocation fee, when will I receive my IGNOU degree?
Ans. Students who have applied for the IGNOU convocation must wait until the convocation ceremony day, or if they are absent Regional Center will post the student's degree or diploma to their present Address.
Ques. Can I print my acknowledgment after registering for the IGNOU Convocation?
Ans. Yes, there is an option provided on the IGNOU website wherein you can take the printout of your acknowledgment receipt. If you do not receive an acknowledgment, you may wait for 48 hours.
Ques. Is it possible to graduate without registering for the IGNOU convocation?
Ans. No, you must register for the IGNOU Convocation to receive a degree certificate. You will not be able to receive the certificate without registration and payment of the IGNOU convocation fee.
Ques. Can I apply for IGNOU Convocation through offline mode?
Ans. No, currently the registration for the IGNOU convocation can only be done online. The fees are also required to be paid online. There is no option for offline registration as of now.
Ques. Is it possible to receive my Original degree certificate before the IGNOU convocation?
Ans. No, there is no such option as of now, The degree is granted from the IGNOU Convocation day onwards.
