What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?
“To create an environment conducive to learning and impart moral education”
According to me, this is one of the evergreen branches of engineering throughout. Being a faculty of Electronics and Communication Engineering I make a clear picture of Vision, Mission and the Goals that the student needs to achieve during his/her studies. Along with that while teaching I used to make sure that the entire syllabus or curriculum is having its relevant to daily life. It is also very important to build a good citizenship character in the student.
How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?
“Being a good listener and providing correct feedback is essential”
A good teacher's ability to LISTEN is an essential characteristic for forming healthy relationships with students and coworkers. It can be hard to make small talk with students, but I've found that doing that is a good way to break down educational barriers. A healthy relationship depends on the actions of the teacher. There are different types of students in every class. The teacher’s responsibility is to read every student's mind and act accordingly. However, while teaching, he or she must respond to every student equally.
What are the best practices offered by the department to the students?
“An updated syllabus with skill-based courses, allowing holistic growth”
The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) offers a number of skill-oriented courses. In every semester, we offer more than 10 skill courses and the students take these courses regularly. Dr C.V. Raman University is the first university in Central India to implement the skill component in the curriculum as dictated by the National Education Policy 2020 proposed by the Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. This skill course deals with the most recent technology in the industry.

How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practice of the industry?
“Industrial and practical training is an essential part of the curriculum”
Curriculum development takes into account the feedback received from the university's different stakeholders. This feedback is analyzed and then the curriculum is designed. Alumni and industry representatives are very important in this process. In addition to that, the University has many MoUs with academic and industrial sectors across the country. The curriculum is designed and developed in continuous discussion with the partners.
How does the department enhance the skills of the faculty?
“By means of seminars, symposiums, workshops, international and national conferences"
In the wake of globalization, faculties are consistently encouraged to attend national and international conferences, symposia, workshops, and seminars. The University continuously organizes Faculty Development Programs (FDP), Refresher Courses, Short Term Programs (STP) and Orientation Courses to enhance faculty skills.
What are the interventions you bring in apart from the curriculum to train the students?
“Classes in personality development, mock interviews, internships, and vocational training”
Apart from the regular curriculum, Experiential and Participatory learning is extensively focused upon. We have Group discussions, presentations, personality development classes, Mock Interviews, Industry internships and Vocational Industrial Training to train the students.
