What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“I made a switch from industry to academics to enlighten young minds”

I am a man from the industry who switched over to academics after shouldering the head of the power plant's responsibility due to sheer passion for it. That is the very reason I am connected to the education sector. Quest for knowledge is another reason I am in the education field. Getting associated with the youth of the society and an opportunity to nurture them makes me happy as it's a kind of 'give back to the society' for the youth is the pillar and the nation's future.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

“A participative management is the key towards smooth functioning”

Having worked in the industry for most of my career,I believe in the philosophy of participative management. Teamwork is essential for effective functioning of any organisation. Stronger the team dynamics, stronger the organisation. I believe a humane approach towards laying a robust foundation and perfect communication as key factors towards smooth functionality. For me, my team ,my people are always first and foremost.

What are your thoughts on Indian education system?

“We ensure our students are skilled professionals”

There are quite fundamental differences in the education system in India and overseas. In those countries, education was available for one and all, whereas in India, a significant chunk of the society was kept away from knowledge. In our institute, we shape our students to meet the demands of industry and commerce. Our students may be lagging in smart presentation but will be prepared to face any industry situation smartly. We are taking care to improve their soft skills and overall personality. We are instilling confidence in them and making them reinvent themselves to become confident and competent enough to face any situation in their professional lives.

How does your curriculum ensure best industry practices?

“We try to bring in the practical approaches in a limited bandwidth available to us”

For the institutes affiliated with the university, there is a minimal role in structuring the university's syllabus like ours. It is mainly developed by the university and drafted by the academia who are not having enough exposure to the industry and thus lacks to take care of the industry's demands. However, they are trying to take care of this aspect to the best of their abilities and experience.

What is your vision for the university?

“It is essential to bridge the gap between academics and industry”

My vision for the university and college is to bridge the gap of quality of outgoing students, and revamping the system. Also, providing exposure to the industry with industry- institution interaction by ensuring a student friendly and student centric approach. Off course, these get evolved with the time because change is the most crucial factor.
