Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Harshika Mohta: “I was interviewed in the last phase so my GD didn't happen.”

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Harshika Mohta: “Two faculty members in each panel. There are usually 6-7 panels. The medium of my interview was online and it was the last phase in which I appeared. So, I only had PI with the esteemed professors of the Institute, one of them was from Marketing and another one from Business Law(that I got to know after joining the college). My PI was around 25 minutes long and they asked me all the questions related to my CV, interest areas, hobby, work experience, academics, plans, why MBA. I thoroughly enjoyed the interview as it was a wholesome experience mixed with nervousness and meticulousness. “1. You are an English Literature student so why are you doing MBA?

Ans. MBA was always in my long term plans, I did not choose it abruptly or just for the sake of my job, I always wanted to study management and that's why MBA.

You already have a Masters Degree, then why are you doing another one?

Ans. English literature gave me a wider point of view, it enabled me to think beyond boundaries. So, I chose to do masters in the same field. But, Management and business studies are in my blood. MBA is a strategic way of learning and doing the same.

You are from the education industry. Who is the minister of Education?

Ans. Ramesh Pokhriyal

You have been a consistent student with good marks. Why do you have a low score in graduation?

Ans. As English Literature is a subjective course, the marking scheme is quite rigid and my entire batch scored in a similar range.

What subjects will you choose?

Ans. Marketing and HR. As, both the subjects belong to my interest area and background as well. Other available subjects are not my cup of tea and I know that I wouldn't be able to make it through them.”

Mention 3 reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted.

Harshika Mohta: “1. Faculty - The faculty of IMT Nagpur is at par with any of the IIMs. They got a NIRF ranking of 97%.

Infrastructure - The infrastructure of a place is important as it is a very important component to generate ideas, playfulness, etc. IMT Nagpur has playgrounds and courts for most of the sports. They have a canteen, mess, hostel for students and on-campus residence for faculties, LRC - The resources centre is one of the biggest in India. LRC is highly equipped with all the required material for any management student.

What was the reason for you not converting to other colleges?

Harshika Mohta: “I fumbled in one of the interviews, that was my biggest mistake. I was not enough confident while answering the question. That was my first interview and nervousness overburdened me.”
