Shoyab Ali is the HOD of the ECE department in the Regional College. He did Ph.D.(PS), M.Tech (PS), B.Tech (EE), and Diploma (EE). He has more than 10 years of experience in the education sector.

What are your roles and responsibilities?

“Assign duties, organize need-based workshops/seminars and career opportunities for students”

I try to manage all matters between students and staff in a reliable manner. Some of my responsibilities include taking advice from the principal for activities and assigning duties to staff and aid program coordinators. Apart from these, I ensure smooth organizing of examinations, quality, cleanliness and maintenance on campus. We provide workshops, seminars, visits, and excursions, and invite guest speakers for UG/PG pupils.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

“Formulate a structured classroom with a positive attitude, adopt students' interests and show an interest in their lives”

Our students respond positively in the classroom and it improves their learning. Teachers set the tone with accurate class procedures and expectations. A structured classroom is available for teaching on our campus. Students become encouraged to attend sessions with a positive attitude and make their learning fun. We use students' interests as an advantage and form storytelling in class. Our faculties show an interest in students' lives outside of classrooms. 

What is your vision for Regional College, Jaipur?

“To carve out talented candidates into society”

We find solutions to every problem and are happy with satisfying responses. Our vision is to enrich the talents of candidates on campus. They can achieve their dream job from the different platforms in our campus. 

How do you bring a practical approach to subjects as industry-oriented in Regional College, Jaipur?

“Provide sophisticated equipment, personality development, career guidance, and training teachers”

We provide various co-curricular areas to students including personality development, career guidance, physical education, information and communication technology (ICT), and NCC. They gain a work experience with 50 marks for each activity and later it converted into grades. Job-oriented modern courses by educators improve the skill sets of pupils. Most colleges impart a maker movement taught about 3D printers, and modern software assists them to become creators instead of consumers. We give sophisticated equipment and training teachers for pupils. Lack of transparency in implementing subjects is another obstacle to raising the subject's value. 

How do you strategize the curriculum for the students on campus?

“Focus on Schedule Planning Time, job trends, plan for feedback and re-evaluate goals”

We decide to plan for assessments and feedback from the students' side. Our campus schedules planning time and selects supportive software. One of the priorities is to consider job trends related to the industry. Thus, we re-evaluate goals and objectives.

What are your views on the placements for students from Regional College, Jaipur?

“Better ranking for campus guarantee through students placements into reputed companies”

Most universities give placements for students and it is a vital yardstick for the assessment of higher educational institutes. The quality and talent of an individual determine the appropriate position for a pupil. We give academic and personal support services for pupils from the first year onwards. According to the latest report, students spend Rs 3 to Rs 5 lakh for an MBA program and get a monthly salary of 8,000 to Rs 10,000. It happens due to low education quality and economic slowdown. We teach collaboration as a skillset and primary value for pupils. Our duty is to evaluate the information accuracy of every pupil. We assist students in learning through strengths and using learning beyond classrooms. 

Do you have any extracurricular activities to enhance students' skills for real-world challenges?

“Provide seminars, debates, outdoor fests and conferences to improve students' skills”

Candidates learn about the world through extra-curricular activities. They experience various situations and gain extra energy or curiosity with these programs. We teach students to become social-friendly through different incidents with all activities. A timely involvement is available in our campus between students, teachers and parents. Pupils can contribute better through a flexible teaching platform and improve their quality. Our faculties work hard to avoid classroom challenges and implement overall success of pupils. 

What challenges have you faced to uplift the education quality of Regional College, Jaipur?

“Continually monitoring progress, providing plenty of feedback and clarifying objectives are the greatest challenges”

One of the challenges is to continually monitor progress. Some annoying habits distract the class and it is necessary to monitor them. Another one is to give feedback and it helps us to understand students quickly. We need to set goals for students and it assists in clarifying our objectives. It focuses the mind and everyone gets an opportunity equally. Campus life is a great way to assess life skills and resources. It gives them confidence and guidance to choose your career path. 

What approaches do you bring in apart from the curriculum to train the students in Regional College, Jaipur?

“Pupils get industry-related skills, placements and seminars from the campus”

The students on our campus have a winning attitude and personality. It assists them to achieve success in life. One of the vital factors of management is to impart industry-related skills and knowledge. Pupils get strong ideas about marketing, finance, HR, Operations and Strategy from the campus education.
