What is the latest program that you are offering in your institute?

“B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science along with B.E in Agriculture Engineering”

Our institute provides the best career growth for students in a peaceful ambience for academic, research, employability and entrepreneurial culture. We are offering 2 courses, B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and B.E in Agriculture Engineering during the academic year 2021-2022. These two courses are approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Anna University, Chennai. 

B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AD) course is an emerging area for students to up-skill their knowledge in big data analytics. 

B.E Agriculture Engineering(AE) course deals with agricultural studies and engineering concepts like food production, farm machinery, and other agriculture-related processes. 


What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?

“Courses with vast opportunities in the field of Data Analysis and Agriculture”

Nowadays, the demand for AI and Data Scientist hiring has grown by 74% over the last four years. Our students will meet the rapidly growing industry needs, making them known to pursue careers as data analysts, data scientists, and solve major problems related to the field of machine learning, statistics, etc. Also, it is high time to utilize Science and technology coupled with improved human capital to act as powerful drivers for positive change. This applies to Agriculture Systems as well as the evolution of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.


How did you train yourself and the faculty to deliver this program to the students?

“Training through Swayam-NPTEL, AICTE and ATAL sponsored Faculty Development Programs, and Short Term Training Programs (STTP)”

The faculty has to undergo industrial training every semester based on their subjects. Faculty members are urged to learn relevant courses through Swayam-NPTEL, to attend AICTE and ATAL sponsored Faculty Development Programs, and Short Term Training Program (STTP) to constantly update their skills. After completing the industry training and online courses, the faculty members will teach the subjects more interactively to students. In this way, students have had a chance to learn the courses and do innovative things.

How do you tend to build an industry connect with this program? 

“MoUs with research institutes and companies including ICAR and NRCB,Trichy, Magic Hues Ltd, United Kingdom”

We have signed MoU’s with various research institutes and Industries like ICAR-National Research Centre. Various industries on a global and national level such as Magic Hues Ltd, United Kingdom, CISCO, TVS Harita are part of this association. Our Centre of Excellence is continuously supported by Faculty Members and Students to update their skills. 


What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

“Curriculum development for the courses has taken longer than expected”

Agriculture engineering course is multidisciplinary of subjects to be learned from various departments like Mechanical, Civil and IoT. Artificial intelligence and data science are based on Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms. Therefore, both courses are studied thoroughly by referring to various textbooks and online resources. This curriculum will definitely motivate the students to do innovations in solving various real-time problems.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?

“Projects in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science applications, Renewable energy, Soil and Surveying”

Our institute provides good opportunities to develop the student's interpersonal skills through various clubs and activities. Our institution has Learning Rooms with Multimedia, Visual Equipment, Research labs, Digital Library and Modernized Laboratories.

 Hence students can do various projects through our faculty guidance in the following areas(but not limited to) :
