How would you describe your leadership style?
“Effective delegation and communication”
I would describe my leadership style as direct and leading by example. I not only enjoy taking the lead on projects, but I also like to stay involved and inspire my team by lending them a working hand. I always try to delegate tasks to whoever is best-equipped to perform well in the task, and I try to communicate clearly about what needs to be done. Taking more time to converse effectively at the beginning of the work and assigning it properly, end up saving time as a work progress and eliminating back-and-forth mistakes, and need to re-do tasks.
How do you strategize about the key programs for the administration of your college?
“Entailing practices and engaging community inclination and cooperation”
Strategy is not a starting point; it’s a process and a collaborative one at that, evolving over time, becoming stronger as it adapts to new challenges even as it remains true to its core principles. The first step in creating a successful strategic plan is getting everyone involved to agree on one model of strategic planning. A term of reference document can get everyone on the same page regardless of differing understandings and viewpoints. Gain insights and gauge community preferences to build a successful and society supported plan. Engage early and engage often is the mantra of triumphant collaborative leaders.
