What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

"Teaching my students, guiding them as and when required is my prime responsibility"

Being a Director, my primary duties include providing effective and placement oriented education to students and guiding them with respect to their higher studies and career as per their interest and passion. Apart from this, I also need to participate in departmental activities, and work and contribute to the development of the curriculum. Lastly, taking regular classes and managing the institute in the best possible way comes under the scope of my responsibilities.

What are some of the greatest strengths of your college?

"The kind of growth environment which we have given to students and faculty makes us strong"

The greatest strengths of our college is the calm, research driven and independent learning and working environment which we have given to our students and staff members respectively. And we address and resolve their concerns on an individual basis and in a timely manner. Hence all these things together make us unique and strong at the same time.

Which approaches do you bring in apart from curriculum to teach students?

"We follow the feedback mechanism to teach them beyond the books"

To educate our students beyond the curriculum, we monitor their academic and non-academic progress on a regular basis and give them appropriate instructions and feedback whenever it feels necessary. And we try our best to solve all their academic and non-academic issues and queries on time. 

How does your department enhance the faculty skills and prepare them as per industry standards?

"They are trained through FDPs, Research Activities and professional visits"

We organize faculty development programs and research activities on a regular basis to upskill our faculty members in relevant disciplines or in their areas of expertise. We also send them for industrial visits in a good organization to educate them about the latest developments, trends and requirements of the industrial world.

When you joined this college, what was your vision for it and how are you trying to achieve the same? 

"To enhance business value of college and make it best choice among students"

I visited this college for the very first time on the 10th of October in 2019. And my objective at that time was to make our Institute a center of excellence for existing and upcoming students. And to achieve my goals, we are continuously doing hard work. 

What challenges are you facing while uplifting the education quality of your department?

"Unavailability of highly qualified teachers to teach our students is the major challenge for us"

The biggest challenge which we are facing currently is the lack of qualified faculty such as Ph.D. holders in relevant disciplines to teach our students, which in turn is affecting the overall education quality of our college.

Which extracurricular activities are organized by the college to enhance students' skills?

"Sports events, fun activities and competitions are organized by us"

Our college completely believes that co-curricular activities are very important for the overall growth of students. Hence, different kinds of sports events, games, fun activities, cultural fests and academic contests are organized by our college from time to time.

How do you prepare your students to cope with this competitive world?

"By motivating them to believe in themselves and indulging them into different types of activities"

We encourage our students to not compare their individuality with anyone and to have full faith in themselves. And to make them more confident, bring out their hidden talents and remove their fear of public communication, we keep organizing a wide variety of activities and events in our college. 

What are your views on the placements and higher education of students from your college? 

"We provide our complete support and guidance to students for both the things"

I firmly believe that we are doing good in both the verticals. Because many of our students are placed in different reputed Hospitals which is definitely the hard work and efforts of our faculty who teach and train them to work in the outside world. And every year, many students from our college also opt for higher education, so we also provide our full support and guidance to them with respect to Application procedure and preparation part.

How do you strategize and update the curriculum to make it befitting for the students? 

"We follow the curriculum designed by University and that is updated regularly by them"

We follow the curriculum designed by the University to which we are affiliated to. And university regularly update the curriculum after rigorous analysis of industrial requirements and taking inputs from esteemed industry experts. It gives me immense pleasure to tell you that our students secure decent jobs after finishing their respective programs from our college.

Which best practices are being offered by your college to the students to help them gain necessary skills? 

"We offer best quality education, industrial exposure and customized learning programs to students"

Our college does offer the finest quality, result and employment oriented education to students and we already define the goals at the start of a semester which we have to achieve at the end of the day. Apart from this, industry interaction sessions and expert lectures are also organized by us with support of industry experts. We have also provided 24*7 access to all the relevant study material to students. Last but not the least, counseling sessions for students having poor performance and extra coaching and mentoring sessions for slow learners are arranged by us as and when required. 

How do you introduce a practical and industry-oriented approach towards subjects?

"By involving students in creative and innovative learning activities"

I use the concept of constructive teaching-learning methodologies to enforce a practical and industry driven approach towards subjects. And I regularly conduct such fun activities which can push students to ask questions and have a curious attitude during the whole activity. And I also use real time data, case studies or journals etc. to explain concepts to them in a better way.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students?

"By being a good listener and trustworthy person for them and resolving their issues on time"

For the purpose of ensuring a cordial relationship with my students, I use a very simple yet effective communication technique and that is I utilize my spare time to know more about them on both personal and professional level so that they feel connected and valued while being with me. And I regularly organize discussion sessions on trending topics of our Nursing field. In addition to this, I have made the college environment very positive, calm and enthusiastic so that students can explore the things and do research with their ideas without any hesitation or fear. Lastly, during classes, I ensure to have a participative learning ambiance where students can ask questions and give answers freely.

Any valuable advice which you would like to give to the students for a prosperous career ahead?

"Stay dedicated towards your life goals and keep upgrading your skills"

I would like to advise my students to stay disciplined and focused towards their life goals, because we all know there is no shortcut to success. Also look for suitable internship opportunities where you can utilize your skills and learn new things as well by working with people of different mindset, experience and knowledge.
