The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducted the entrance tests for various undergraduate level courses like BA, BSc, and BCom, across India on September 19, 2021.
The AMU entrance test was conducted in two shifts in the exam centers at Aligarh and six other cities of the country, including Lucknow, Kolkata, Srinagar, Patna, Calicut and Guwahati.
Around 8682 students had participated in the entrance exam for AMU Admission 2021 for the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) programme at the Aligarh Muslim University, while 3749 appeared for the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) entrance tests that was held from 10 AM to 12 noon.
On the other hand, approximately 10,896 candidates had applied for the Bachelor’s Degree (BA) entrance exam, which was held from 3 PM to 5 PM. The entrance exam was conducted ensuring all the Covid-19 protocols are followed strictly by the students and staff.
Professor Tariq Mansoor, AMU, Vice-Chancellor said that holding exams amidst the pandemic is a challenge for Universities across the country. Despite the challenges, the AMU authorities have worked hard to find solutions for the usual admission process. He expressed his happiness stating that the admission process will commence shortly after the entrance exam results are released.
Along with AMU Proctor, Professor Mohd Wasim Ali,Prof Mansoor personally visited the various exam centres in AMU to ensure smooth conduction of the AMU entrance examination by following necessary COVID-19 protocols.
During the AMU exam, the senior faculty members of the institute were deputed as observers and some faculty members were appointed as the overall In-charge at the exam centres located outside Aligarh to supervise the smooth examination process.
The director of the AMU entrance exam, Mujib Ullah Zuberi appreciated the faculty's role and efforts and other functional invigilators in conducting the AMU exam in a peaceful and orderly manner.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) of AMU had organized special help camps at important places to offer assistance to the examinees. Even the parents of candidates praised the university authorities for providing the necessary guidance in the smooth conduct of the AMU entrance exam.
