AFMC Pune MBBS Admission 2022 Open; Check Details Here

New Delhi:  Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune has begun the application process for the MBBS Programme for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @afmc.nic.in. 

AFMC Pune offers two UG courses - MBBS and B.Sc. nursing and MD and MD/MS degree courses in various specialisations at PG level. Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS programme can submit their applications till the deadline which is not yet announced by the institute. 

According to the latest reports, around 1700 candidates will be called for the MBBS screening process (1380 male and 360 female students). The screening schedule and the list of shortlisted candidates will be available on the website @afmcdg1d.gov.in.

AFMC Pune MBBS Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS course will be eligible to take the entrance examination if he/she fulfills the following criteria:

• Candidates should be a citizen of India or be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India.
• They should be unmarried. Also, marrying during the course is not permitted.
• The candidate should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence
• They must have attained the age of 17yrs on 31st Dec of the year of application, but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date(Not more than 24 years in case of candidates who have passed or are appearing in final BSc examinations).
• Candidate must have passed all the subjects opted for in the first attempt of the qualifying examinations as a regular candidate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these 3 science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects.  

AFMC Pune MBBS Admission 2022: Selection Process

• The screening process for admission to the MBBS Programme shall be held in the following stages:
  • Identification and Verification of documents
  • Test of English Language Comprehension, Logic & Reasoning (ToELR)
  • Psychological Assessment Test (PAT)
  • Interview by the Board of Officers
  • Medical Examination & Medical Board 

• Candidates who will be shortlisted on the basis of NEET will be called for Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) and interview conducted by AFMC. Those aspirants who crack the test will be shortlisted for the interview round.
• The final selection will be made on the basis of NEET/ Written Exam/ Interview marks. 
• A final score will be prepared on the basis of written ToELR+ NEET, Interview marks. 
• The AFMC MBBS Cut off will be announced after the declaration of NEET-UG Cut off. The AFMC Cut off will be displayed on the university website after a few days of completion of the NEET written test. 

AFMC Pune MBBS Admission 2022: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of AFMC Pune @afmc.nic.in. 

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee of INR 250 and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
