Eligibility & Entry Requirement
The "Language Science" course can be completed as part of a six-semester core area bachelor's degree or - as of winter semester 2019/2020 - as a minor subject in combination with modern philological subjects, e.g. German studies or Romance studies. The six-semester (core area) Bachelor's program in Language Science, which concludes with the Bachelor of Arts (BA), imparts central theoretical and methodological skills in the areas of theoretical and practical linguistics, computational linguistics, phonetics, language processing, and translation. In addition, advanced written and oral skills in English and, optionally, in Romance languages ??are acquired.
