Accordingly, the need for highly qualified young people in the field of IT security is very high and has led to the conception of a Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity at Saarland University. This deals with all aspects of cybersecurity and from the first semester lays the foundations for a comprehensive understanding of the highly complex topic (eg in lectures such as "Foundations of cybersecurity", "Secure Software Engineering", "Cryptography"). The knowledge imparted in the areas of IT security is complemented by content from the classic computer science course.
