The three-year bachelor's degree primarily serves to acquire a broad general physical education that forms the basis for scientific work. The course provides an overview of the different areas of classical physics, from the mechanics of particles and particle systems to thermodynamics, electromagnetism, electrodynamics and optics to a first look at the limits of classical physics and the occurrence of quantum phenomena. Supplements to Physics II and III are dedicated to analytical mechanics and special relativity.
