Over four semesters, students in this research- and application-oriented program learns about molecular biological, physiological, and histological methods and procedures and applies these independently in experiments.
The program emphasizes accuracy and correct scientific procedure in the derivation, formulation, and testing of hypotheses.
Students also explore the socio-economic context of molecular biology, which enables them to critically examine and advance developments in the field.

Following are the admission requirements for this degree program:

A bachelor’s degree in biology or the molecular life sciences OR a comparable bachelor’s degree
Proof of basic knowledge in the following disciplines: biology; general, inorganic, and organic chemistry; mathematics; physics, including practical laboratory experience and skills in chemistry and biology
Proficiency in English that meets the minimum requirements
