- Artistic skills, music-theoretical and historical knowledge, as well as insights into musical professional fields, are imparted. Piano, organ, harpsichord, jazz/rock piano, singing or conducting can be chosen as the main subject. Making music in a choir, orchestra or big band is part of the course.

Tuition Fees
The University of Greifswald does not demand a typical tuition fee. Students have to pay 82 USD per semester as Semester contribution and 107 USD once as enrolment fee.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Prior to commencing studies, students will be required to provide proof of German language proficiency. The following certificates are recognized by the University of Greifswald for applications to a full degree course:
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber’ (DSH) at least level 2*
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz’ (level 2)
- the Goethe-Zertifikat C2 from the Goethe Institute
- the ‘Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache’ (Test DaF), at least level 4 in all partial examinations*
- the certificate ‘telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule’
- a completed degree in German Studies, an assessment test with German as an examination subject.
