The Centre for Renewable Energy is an interdisciplinary and cross-faculty centre of the University of Freiburg.
The ZEE acts as a central scientific facility; it brings together scientific institutions within the university that engage in renewable energy problems in research and education, as well as forming cooperation agreements with institutions from outside the university in the areas of research, education, and advanced training.
The international Master Programme ?Renewable Energy Engineering and Management? combines a wide-range of qualification in all disciplines of renewable energy with profound knowledge acquired in an elective track (Energy Systems Technology, Energy Conversion, Environmental Planning and Management) and extensive training in the management of renewable energies. The program is offered by the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- DSH (result 2 or 3) or TestDaF (with a score of at least 4 on all four parts of the test) or the Goethe-certificate C2 or the 2nd level language certificate from the Conference of the Ministry of Education and the Arts or Telc C1 Hochschule.
- Evidence of German language proficiency at B2 level is required for an application for Studienkolleg.
