The scientific reflection of music in its diverse historical and contemporary manifestations and contexts is at the center of the master's degree in musicology. Students are enabled to carry out independent research in various areas of musicology. As a part of history and cultural studies, musicology researches and conveys the development processes, functionality and effects of music.
Tuition Fees
Goethe University Frankfurt does not demand a typical tuition fee. Students have to pay 410 USD per semester. This fee entitles students to services such as the unlimited use of public transportation in Frankfurt and the whole Federal State of Hessen.
