Clinical Psychology has been the most prominent field of application in the domain of psychology, key aspects being psychosocial problems, behavioural deviation, and mental disorders. More recently, psychological implications of physical impairment and coping with severe crises have come into focus. Clinical psychology aims at providing systematic access to various forms of psychological disorders in terms of classification and diagnostics and at enhancing our understanding of their aetiology.
