- Basically, English Studies can be combined with all other subjects of the 2-subject bachelor's degree. Depending on the desired goal, however, some possible combinations are restricted or recommended.
- If students want to pursue a teaching position as a study objective, please note the combination requirements for the individual teaching qualifications. The following subjects are recommended for a degree in combination with English Studies: pedagogy, German studies, history, Art Research, Media Studies (first subject), philosophy.

- TestDaF with at least 4 points in each section of the test
- Feststellungsprüfung of the Studienkolleg
