Founded in 1949 as a College for Agricultural Engineering, Nurtingen-Geislingen University became a public University of Applied Sciences in 1972. The campus is situated in the greater Stuttgart area, the capital of the state Baden-Wuerttemberg. Nurtingen-Geislingen University Campus

  • Nurtingen-Geislingen University has 2 major campuses, one located at Nurtingen and another at Geislingen.
  • Nurtingen campus has 6 buildings within it. These are:
    • Campus Innenstadt (CI)

    • Campus Jungborn (CJ)
  • The campus facilitates housing, dining halls, movies, and theaters.
  • For leisure time, the Nurtingen campus has clubs, cafes, and pubs.
  • Sports and fitness centers are present within the campus where the students can choose sports from a wide range that includes swimming, dancing, table tennis, slackline, and much more.

Nurtingen-Geislingen University Residence

  • Nurtingen-Geislingen University provides residence for students at Nurtingen and Geislingen campus.
  • Geislingen campus has 6 buildings for the accommodation of students, out of which 4 are in Kaiser-Wilhelm-Strasse, located close to the university, and the other 2 at walking distance in down-town Geislingen.
  • The application process for the room begins from April 1 and continues till October 1.
  • Rooms at residence hall are rented for the entire semester only, which is from March 1 to August 31 and September 1 to February 28.
  • In order to withdraw the rent, students need to open a German bank account. The deposit can be refunded on the condition that the student has left the room in good condition and this process may take more than 8 weeks.
  • Facilities in the residence halls include common lounge, LAN, free parking for vehicles, and washing machine and dryer in the basement of the house etc.
  • Rooms are equipped with a desk and chair, wardrobe, shelf, lamp and bed with mattress, blanket, and pillow.
  • For private accommodations, students can refer to websites, newspapers, student organizations, and unions such as StuZi and Verfasste Studierendenschaft (VS) at HfWU which collects notices of rooms and apartments offered.

Nurtingen-Geislingen University Application Process

The admission at Nurtingen-Geislingen University is a completely online process and it does not accept an application made via fax, post, or email. Applications are accepted for the summer and winter semesters like most other German institutes. The students are required to upload the supporting documents before the application deadline.
